The date is July, 2013 and we are again hard at work at San
Elijo State Beach as Camp Hosts.
Luckily, our first day of work was Wednesday the 3rd and most
everyone was already in place for the Fourth of July holiday. We did a couple of “ride-alongs” with other
Camp Hosts just to verify that we still remembered how to do the job. After that, we were on our own…scary!
On the Fourth, we had a kids bicycle parade through the
park. They all decorated their bikes,
scooters, skateboards, dogs, and, and, and.
We then led them all on a parade around the park. It was a lot of fun and many of the campers
were sitting at their campsites applauding the kids.
We are here until the end of September and always enjoy
visitors.
